Das letzte Buch, das ich euch in diesem Jahr in Waiting on Wednesday vorstellen möchte ist Gameboard of the Gods von Richelle Mead und erscheint am 4. Juni 2013 auf Englisch, der deutsche Erscheinungstermin bzw. der Verlag sind noch nicht bekannt. Hierbei handelt es sich diesmal nicht um die Fortsetzung einer Serie, sondern um den ersten Band. Die Reihe soll Age of X heißen und spielt in einer dystopischen Welt in der Zukunft. Im Gegensatz zu Vampire Academy und Bloodlines ist Age of X an ein erwachsenes Publikum gerichtet. Ich habe bereits Richelle Meads Serien für Erwachsene Succubus Blues und Dark Swan gelesen – beide überzeugen wie auch ihre Bücher für Jugendliche durch Sarkasmus und Action und etwas ausgereiftere romantische Szenen ;-). Ich liebe einfach Richelles humorvollen Stil und ihre starken weiblichen Protagonistinnen. Leider muss man sich noch bis Juni gedulden, bis Gameboard of the Gods erscheint und bisher ist nur die teure Hardcover-Ausgabe vorbestellbar, ich hoffe bis zum Erscheinungstermin wird das Buch noch in Taschenbuchformat angeboten.
